Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Athletics Communication. Boca Raton, FL.

This position serves as the primary media contact for Men's Basketball, Women's Soccer, Track & Field, and Cross Country, playing a key role in promoting the achievements of our student-athletes, coaches, and programs.

Summary of responsibilities:

* Coordinate media appearances for assigned sports coaching staff and players and supervise all media personnel working at Florida Atlantic University athletic home events.

* Travel to away contests and coordinate media appearances for coaching staff and players while on the road

* Maintain the statistical archives and records for all assigned sports.

* Work with the external arm of the athletics department, in conjunction with the respective sports' coaching staffs, to create and distribute engaging social media content across multiple platforms

* Produce news releases and feature content for the FAU athletics website.

* Maintain the photo database for all external team members to use efficiently

* Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.

* Oversee the scheduling of student assistants at home events for assigned sports.

* Complete other departmental job-related tasks as assigned by the Deputy AD/Brand & Communications.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.

Salary:

$48,000 - $55,000 annually.
