Roofing Estimator

We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Roofing Estimator to join our dynamic team in South Florida. In a region where extreme weather conditions are common, providing precise and competitive estimates is crucial for the success of our residential and commercial roofing projects. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of the complex building codes in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties, including Miami-Dade NOAs, Florida Building Codes, UL certifications, and HVHZ requirements.

You will be responsible for evaluating project specifications, conducting site inspections, and preparing detailed estimates that ensure our projects are both profitable and compliant with all regulations. A robust knowledge of various roofing systems—including self-adhered, modified bitumen, built-up roofing (BUR), styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS), single-ply membranes, and waterproofing—is essential. Additionally, you should be proficient with metal, tile, shingle, and flat roof systems. As well as, be able to interpret engineering and architectural plans accurately

• Project Verification: Review site inspections to verify roof dimensions, identify necessary roofing accessories and sizing.
• Detailed Estimating: Calculate labor, material, and equipment costs using traditional take-offs and roof reports.
• Compliance: Ensure all estimates align with the Florida Building Code (FBC), Miami-Dade NOAs and all other required entities and codes including specific municipal requirements for hurricane mitigation and uplift ratings.
• Proposal Development: Create professional, transparent bid packages that clearly outline the scope of work, material warranties, and timelines.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, purchasing and production team to ensure a seamless hand-off from "sold" to "in-progress."

• Regional Expertise: Minimum of 5 years of experience in roofing estimation specifically within the South Florida market.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of roofing systems common to the South Florida.
• Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in aerial measurement tools (Roof R / Eagle View / Sky Measure) and CRM software.
