Trueline's client, a boutique luxury residential builder with a long-standing reputation for craftsmanship, service, and attention to detail, is seeking a Director of Residential Construction to join their team in Boca Raton, Florida. This is a hands‑on leadership opportunity for a construction professional who thrives in the field, enjoys solving complex challenges, and wants a clear path toward senior leadership and eventual business succession.

What

You’ll Do as the Director of Residential Construction:
  • Lead and support field operations across luxury custom home construction and high‑end renovation projects
  • Manage and mentor Field Superintendents while serving as a resource for Project Managers and office staff
  • Act as the primary field leadership presence for clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Fill in for Field Superintendents when needed to keep projects moving forward
  • Solve field challenges, coordinate communication, and drive accountability across multiple active projects
  • Review plans, specifications, and project documentation to identify issues before they impact construction
  • Oversee quality control, safety compliance, inspections, punch lists, and project closeout activities
  • Coordinate service and warranty work for completed projects while maintaining exceptional client relationships
  • Support bidding efforts, constructability reviews, and project planning activities
  • Conduct owner walkthroughs and oversee move‑in operations
  • Facilitate communication between field and office teams to improve efficiency and project execution
  • Attend regular team meetings and contribute to a collaborative, high‑performance culture
Must‑Haves as the Director of Residential Construction:
  • Experience in luxury residential construction, custom homes, high‑end renovations, or a closely related market
  • Background as a Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Project Manager, or similar construction leadership role
  • Strong understanding of residential construction means, methods, sequencing, and best practices
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and interior design plans
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and client relationships
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in the field
  • Comfort using construction software, project management tools, and technology platforms
  • Professional presence with high‑net‑worth clientele
Nice‑to‑Haves as the Director of Residential Construction:
  • Experience building luxury custom homes in South Florida
  • Knowledge of both ground‑up construction and large‑scale renovation projects
  • Experience creating or maintaining CPM schedules
  • Previous responsibility for supervising multiple Superintendents or project teams
  • Desire to grow into executive leadership and long‑term business succession opportunities
Our Client Offers:
  • Base salary of $125,000-$150,000 depending on experience
  • Performance‑based bonus opportunity of approximately $25,000-$30,000+
