Superintendent - Big Box Retail/Commercial

Are you an experienced Superintendent with a track record of successfully delivering large-scale retail and commercial construction projects? A leading Florida-based General Contractor with offices in Boca Raton and Tampa is seeking a highly skilled Superintendent to oversee ground-up and renovation projects throughout the region. The company has a diverse portfolio spanning mixed-use residential, industrial, and commercial construction, but this role is heavily focused on big-box retail projects.

We're looking for construction leaders who understand the unique challenges of occupied retail environments, accelerated schedules, and large-format commercial construction.

• Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout.
• Manage day-to-day field operations, subcontractors, suppliers, and project schedules.
• Coordinate project execution with Project Managers, clients, architects, and engineers.
• Maintain high standards for quality control and jobsite safety.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Conduct subcontractor meetings and coordinate all trades on-site.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documents.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project timelines.
• Manage punch-list completion and project turnover activities.
• Foster strong client relationships while representing the company professionally in the field.

• 7+ years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
• Strong experience with big-box retail construction, remodels, expansions, and ground-up developments.
• Experience managing projects valued from $5M to $50M+.
• Proven ability to lead large field teams and multiple subcontractors.
• Excellent scheduling, planning, and coordination skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of OSHA standards and jobsite safety requirements.
• Willingness to travel throughout Florida as project needs require.
