Playwire is seeking an innovative and technically skilled Interactive Developer to design, develop, and launch engaging digital advertising experiences across web and mobile platforms. This role combines front-end development, creative problem-solving, and emerging technology exploration to deliver high-impact rich media campaigns, interactive ad formats, and custom web experiences. The Interactive Developer transforms concepts, wireframes, and designs into polished, performant, and user-focused executions while ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and adherence to industry standards.

Success in this role requires a balance of creativity, technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Essential Functions
  • Plan production, identify dependencies, gain a comprehensive understanding of project timelines, allocate resources effectively, and execute deliverables accordingly.
  • Research, create, and develop new interactive ad formats, leveraging market trends, user insights, and technological advancements.
  • Gather insights, explore innovative concepts, and prototype interactive ad experiences that captivate audiences and drive engagement.
  • Work with the VP of Creative Services to design and implement innovative interactive advertising solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technological advancements to continuously improve our interactive strategies.
  • Create proof of concepts (POCs) to research and evaluate the utilization of emerging technologies that can enhance the user experience.
  • Create a diverse range of custom rich-media ad units for integration across our network of partner sites including interactive videos, expanding units, first-to-market executions, and more.
  • Utilize expertise in front-end development to effectively implement the visual and functional aspects of the designs.
  • Balance attention to detail with efficient coding practices to deliver high-quality and user-friendly web experiences.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of ad specifications and consistently adhere to Playwire's standards of design and development.
  • Edit and export layered images, and develop animations independently, showcasing strong creative skills and technical proficiency.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team-based environment, taking direction as needed to align with project objectives and collaborate seamlessly with colleagues.
  • Combine creativity and technical skills to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that align with project requirements and user experience best practices.
  • Execute QA deliverables with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the quality and functionality of the deliverables.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation to identify any issues or discrepancies and collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve them effectively.
  • Take an execution from concept to launch, making design and functionality revisions as necessary to ensure a successful outcome.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the team and organization.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Interactive or Rich Media Design or related field or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to seamlessly transform designs from storyboards or comps into fully functional, engaging interactive experiences.
  • Experience in Web and Rich Media development with relevant experience in the field.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop.
  • Knowledge of After Effects and/or Adobe Premiere, with a strong understanding of their features and capabilities.
  • Proven track record of consistently meeting tight deadlines while delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment, while meeting short deadlines.
  • Understanding of design fundamentals, including layout and composition principles.
  • Strong desire to learn and actively contribute within a creative and collaborative environment.
  • Ability to learn new systems and programs quickly and efficiently.
