Position Summary:

Responsibilities:

* Demonstrate the ability to plan, model, deliver, and develop rich, standards-based, student-centered learning experiences

* Identify and apply relevant educational research-based instructional strategies

* Develop engaging and differentiated lessons, assignments, and assessments

* Utilize relevant technology and resources for optimal engagement and differentiation

* Manage student behavior through positive behavior interventions and support

* Support social-emotional and character education strategies to facilitate student development in self and social awareness and responsible decision-making

* Provide timely, appropriate, and actionable feedback to students

* Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies

* Engage in research activities to further the school's mission and to generate advancements in teaching and learning

* Maintain and utilize accurate and comprehensive documentation and evidence of students' progress and development

* Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs

* Participate and engage in professional learning experiences that support professional growth and collaboration with colleagues

* Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution

* Valid Florida Educator's Certificate in K-6 or valid Florida Department of Education Statement of Eligibility in K-6

Preferred:

* Knowledge and experience in implementing workshop-style of instruction

Background Screening:

Selected candidates must successfully complete and pass all employment screenings prior to the start of employment. Employment screenings may include a criminal background check (level I and level II), motor vehicle check, credit check, reference checks, alcohol, and drug screening check.
