Adjunct Faculty, Movement​/Expression

Summary

Lynn is currently accepting applications for the position of Adjunct Professor of Movement. The course introduces students to the techniques involved in physical movement and expression. Through practical application students study how to use their body effectively in performance.

• Serve as undergraduate faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences teaching Movement.
• Participate in the college's assessment program of student performance.
• Provide timely response to student questions and concerns.
• Submit university reports and requirements, such as attendance, grades, and student progress reports, in a timely manner.

• Proficiency with technology for instructional delivery, such as learning management systems (e.g., Canvas) and presentation software (e.g., PowerPoint).
• Appreciation of different learning styles to incorporate into instructional delivery.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.

• MFA in Drama, Theatre, Acting, Musical Theatre, Directing, Dance, or other theatrical performance arts. If an MFA is not held, equivalent professional experience may be provided for justification.
• Professional experience as an actor, director, singer, and/or dancer.
• Preferably, a network of professional colleagues and connections.
• Preferably, current active work in the industry.
• All degrees completed at a regionally accredited institution.
