Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Academic Success Coach, Alpha - $150,000/year USD

You understand that the greatest service you can offer a student is to maintain high standards without compromise. Your background includes achievement at a tier most people never experience firsthand: elite-level competition, graduation with honors from a top university, entry into a highly selective organization, or a venture you launched independently. Now imagine channeling that drive into a setting with K-12 students who have never encountered someone with your credentials willing to push them toward benchmarks they never believed attainable.

If the concept of enforcing elite expectations feels unreasonable to you, this role is not for you. Alpha leverages AI to deliver 1-on-1 instruction that allows students to complete core academic work in roughly two hours each day. The remaining time is dedicated to life skills, passion projects, and authentic development. On Alpha’s most rigorous campuses, students require more than oversight.

They need a credible mentor whose personal accomplishments model the standard: someone capable of assessing group dynamics, establishing expectations, and guiding them through friction, distraction, and uncertainty. Your role is not instructional. AI manages the academic delivery. Your responsibility is to inspire, coach, and apply the same exacting standards you've applied to yourself. Forty percent of your time involves direct 1-on-1 and small-group sessions that identify obstacles and establish challenging objectives.

Another forty percent is spent facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for competency, not engagement. The final twenty percent is devoted to morning sessions that set a daily tone where mediocrity is not tolerated. The trajectory here emphasizes depth over advancement. You begin by mastering Alpha’s methodology and earning student trust. Within months, you become the person they rely on to challenge them beyond their perceived limits.

The return is not a title change. It is continuity: the same students, year after year, maturing with your guidance. It is witnessing a student who struggled with eye contact in September deliver a poised presentation to adults in May. This position remains student-centered. Students are the mission, not a pathway to something else. If your motivation for leaving your current position is the work itself, not career optics, apply now.

What

You Will Be Doing
  • Conducting 1-on-1 and small-group coaching using Coachbot analytics and student data to identify barriers, establish ambitious targets, and ensure student accountability for execution
  • Facilitating structured life-skills workshops designed for mastery by drawing on credible examples from your own high-level experience, then validating mastery through Alpha’s Test2

    Pass framework
  • Establishing the campus culture each morning via focused opening sessions that communicate high-performance standards
  • Monitoring student progress continuously and refining coaching approaches based on evidence, not assumption
  • Cultivating trusted mentor relationships with students and families by maintaining rigorous standards, reliability, and documented motivation frameworks
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering lessons, creating curriculum, or evaluating assignments—Alpha’s AI-driven academic platform manages instruction; you manage motivation
  • Addressing a classroom of 30 students (your focus is intensive coaching in small settings, not mass instruction)
  • Supervising other personnel or pursuing an administrative career path (this role centers on direct student outcomes, not organizational management)
  • Attending faculty meetings or dealing with institutional bureaucracy (your schedule remains student-focused)
  • Reducing standards to meet targets (if a student achieved 99%, your role is to identify what prevented 100%)
