PositionSummary
Saint Andrew’s School promotes an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. Our faculty is deeply committed to developing students in mind, body and spirit, and are responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success. We seek dynamic individuals who are collaborative and innovative in their approach to teaching and who work to create an inclusive and supportive classroom and school wide culture.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching the Middle Years Programme (MYP) in Math. This position will entail teaching five sections and leading a Middle School advisory class.
- Bachelor’s degree in Math or related field;
Master’s degree preferred - Prior experience teaching mathematics
- IB MYP experience preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and parents
- Possess an understanding of technology to facilitate teaching, grades, and communication
- Possess a collegiality and willingness to collaborate with colleagues
- Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and community members of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive classroom environment
- Commitment to a growth mindset and continuous professional development
