- Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques
- Develop discipline-related curricula
- Assess student learning
- Participate in program evaluation and college activities
- Maintain college and department standards supporting the College’s mission and strategic plan
- Develop, maintain, interpret, and execute administrative procedures and practices
- Develop and maintain manuals regarding College policies, procedures, rules, and standards
- Analyze class and program needs
- Determine and recommend retention or deletion of courses
- Develop and coordinate program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates
- Maintain and adjust calendars tracking schedules
- Assist students with program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
- Master’s degree in a Health Education, Physical Education or Health-related field OR Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in a Health Education, Physical Education or Health-related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- Ability to utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies
- Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
- Ability to work a fluctuating schedule including evenings and weekends
- Official transcripts, college-stamped student copies, or non-web based unofficial transcripts must be attached to the application
- Degrees earned in the United States must be conferred by an accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
- Degrees earned outside the United States must be validated by an organization belonging to the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES), with an evaluation report attached before the Final date to receive applications
- Ability to reach and grasp objects
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Use of video display terminal
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Ability to communicate information orally and in writing
- Ability to receive and understand oral and written information
- Ability to proofread and check documents for accuracy
Demonstrates expertise in curriculum development and student assessment within health education, while effectively utilizing instructional technologies and maintaining compliance with college standards. Strong ability to engage with diverse populations and manage program logistics.
