Geosyntec is looking for an Early‑Career Environmental Engineer or Geologist to join our contaminated site assessment and remediation practice in either Boca Raton or Tampa, Florida. The role involves applying academic knowledge to real‑world projects and developing business skills to support a consulting career.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct fieldwork such as soil, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling, and contractor oversight.
  • Operate and maintain remediation treatment systems.
  • Evaluate chemical data and contaminant fate & transport.
  • Install wells, perform aquifer testing, and conduct groundwater monitoring.
  • Assess groundwater and soil remedies, estimate costs, perform design calculations, and assist in implementation.
  • Provide environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting support.
  • Analyze data, prepare maps, tables, and figures.
  • Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.
  • Drive personal, company, or rental vehicles to client or project sites as needed.
Education and Licensure
  • Bachelor’s degree in geology or environmental, civil, or chemical engineering (required).
  • Advanced degree in the same field (preferred).
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
  • Prior research experience in contaminated media or remediation technology (preferred).
  • Prior internship experience in environmental consulting (preferred).
  • Experience with Arc View, Microsoft Access, Modflow, and/or EVS (preferred).
  • Regular field work and overnight travel (required).
  • Health & safety training, medical monitoring, and client‑driven drug and background testing (required).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).
