• Draft and prepare design plans and details in accordance with Geosyntec drafting standards to ensure high‑quality outputs.
• Utilize your understanding of civil and geotechnical engineering concepts to effectively visualize and translate ideas into detailed design drawings.
• Analyze input materials such as sketches and notes to determine the optimal approach for developing drawing sets.
• Supervise the creation, markup, and modification of drawing sets, ensuring a cohesive design throughout.
• Mentor and guide CADD technicians, ensuring the delivery of quality design outputs through effective training and oversight.
• Assist with CADD department management, including estimating project effort and developing file management standards.
• Participate in collaborative efforts to enhance CAD standards and improve efficiency within the company.

• Associate’s degree in Drafting and a minimum of five years of experience in a professional civil engineering environment; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
• Current certification as an Autodesk AutoCAD Certified Professional is preferred.
• Proficient in developing grading plans, cross‑sections, alignments, and profiles for large civil design projects, particularly landfills.
• Familiarity with land or aerial surveying/mapping data is required.
• Experience with stormwater management design is a plus.
• Competence in the latest versions of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Knowledge of ArcGIS and Micro Station is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Map3D. Must understand key objects and features within these applications.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply them to practical engineering design scenarios.
• Strong communication skills to interpret and execute complex instructions effectively.
• Capable of presenting information clearly to team members and clients.
• Experience in managing and communicating with junior staff effectively.
