We are actively recruiting an experienced trader to lead our agencies trading desk. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success, well‑established industry relationships, ambition, and enthusiasm for implementing new trading ideas within established risk parameters.

• Work directly with the salesforce to develop relationships with customers and issuers.
• Trade new issue and secondary notes.
• Analyze risk and hedge positions.
• Support other areas of Mesirow’s Institutional Sales and Trading department.

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Series 7 and 63 licensed.
• Ability to manage and grow a business.
• A demonstrated track record of successful trading combined with established relationships.
• A strong commitment to performance, self‑motivation and business success.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines under pressure and multitask across analytical, administrative, and research activities in a detail‑oriented, timely manner.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate.
• Willingness to learn and apply from direct developmental feedback.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with peers, management, and clients.
