Residential Capital Accounting ManagerFull Time Boca Raton, FL, US
Summary
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by management based upon the requirements of the company.
- Provide full‑time administrative support to Construction for all Residential Capital projects.
- Act as a single‑source liaison between Construction and finance and assist in executing and tracking (i) budgets, (ii) project completion lists, (iii) purchasing & commitment (e.g., purchase orders, contracts), (iv) accounts payable, and lender requirements, (vi) D&C Project and (vii) Annual Operating Plan Capital Planning.
- Set up D&C systems (e.g., PM Tracking, Cost Database).
- Assist in the preparation of presentation materials, providing weekly project reports.
- Prepare and submit lender draw packages, including supporting documentation.
- Track project budgets, commitments, contracts, change orders, and actual costs.
- Track construction loan balances, retainage, and funding schedules.
- Prepare monthly financial statements for development entities (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
- Support audit and tax preparation processes.
- Reconcile construction in progress (CIP) accounts.
- Maintain fixed asset and capitalization schedules.
- Ensure proper revenue recognition and cost capitalization under GAAP.
- Finalize cost certifications and development cost summaries.
- Transition completed projects from CIP to fixed assets or investment property.
- Update all Capital project tracking reports for each project on a weekly basis.
- Assist in managing the budget and invoices.
- Reconcile all reports to the General Ledger with assistance from property finance.
- Coordinate invoice input into Capital Project system.
- Maintain and update Commitments Log.
- Set up Tracking Reports throughout project.
- Assist with approvals of all A/R & A/P.
- Coordinate with Property Finance to implement invoice coding and standard payment request protocols.
- Process all A/P invoices.
- Maintain and send Project Management tracking weekly.
- Manage documents and maintain document storage for each project within Capital Project System.
- Maintain capital account summary for each Capital Project.
- Assist in Cash Flow projections for each project to provide monthly.
- Assist in developing long‑term D&C tools and systems such as Completion List Tracking, Multi‑Year Capital Tracking, etc.
- Join Strategic Capital Planning meetings and assist in developing annual budgets.

Associate Director of FP&A / dotted line to Project Manager
Regular interaction Operations and Property Management teams

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (preferred).
- 3–6+ years in construction project management, architecture/design, and/or construction accounting.
- Prior supervisory experience (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, reconciliations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting, and D&C systems.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong customer‑service mindset.
- Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through and ability to manage deadlines.
- Ability to deliver accurate results while working under time‑sensitive conditions.
- Capable of managing competing priorities while working across multiple departments.
- Self‑motivated and comfortable working in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Ability to work extended and flexible hours during peak season is required.
