We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly organized AP Specialist to join our thriving team in the construction industry. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong background in Accounts Payable who is looking to contribute their skills to a fast‑paced, innovative, and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of managing purchase orders, vendor relations, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the full cycle of AP processes, including matching, batching, and coding invoices, preparing and performing check runs, and processing electronic transfers and payments.
  • Generating, reviewing, and maintaining Purchase Orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborating with the procurement team to resolve invoice discrepancies and conducting thorough vendor statement reconciliations.
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to AP.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of systems and procedures to enhance productivity and performance in the AP department.
  • Ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and maintaining accurate records and control reports.
  • Responding to vendor inquiries regarding invoice and payment issues and maintaining positive vendor relations.
  • Assisting with internal and external audits as required, providing necessary information and documentation.
  • Staying updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in the role.
  • Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in generating and managing Purchase Orders.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong skills in Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, data analysis, and multi-currency transactions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
