Chief Actuary

DW Simpson seeks a remote Chief Actuary to lead actuarial strategy for clients across insurance and consulting. Responsibilities

• Lead pricing, reserving, capital, and risk modeling strategy for insurance and consulting clients.
• Oversee development, validation, and governance of actuarial models and methodologies.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and accounting standards across engagements.
• Partner with internal teams to design analytical and data-driven client solutions.
• Guide assumption setting, scenario testing, and stress-testing for key portfolios.
• Mentor and develop actuarial and analytical talent, fostering best practices and quality standards.
• Contribute to business development, client presentations, and thought leadership initiatives.
• Establish and refine actuarial policies, controls, and documentation standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and analytic frameworks.
