Position Summary
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Assistant Director, Youth Protection Compliance Program in Boca Raton, FL. The Assistant Director reports to the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer and oversees the university’s Youth Protection Compliance Program, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and university policies related to youth engagement, including background screening, training, program registration, and risk mitigation.
Responsibilities- Program Development & Policy Implementation
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures consistent with federal, state, and institutional standards.
• Implement and oversee compliance for all university‑affiliated programs involving minors.
• Provide guidance to units hosting youth programs and collaborate with campus stakeholders.
• Serve as the university’s subject‑matter expert on youth protection compliance. - Training & Education
• Design and deliver comprehensive training on child abuse prevention, mandated reporting, and youth safety.
• Maintain the youth compliance website and provide virtual and in‑person training.
• Respond to reports of suspected abuse or neglect and coordinate with law enforcement and agencies. - Program Evaluation & Compliance Monitoring
• Develop and implement a monitoring program for youth compliance activities.
• Collect and analyze data to measure program effectiveness and inform improvements.
• Conduct scheduled and ad‑hoc site visits to verify compliance with policies and risk mitigation strategies. - Compliance and Ethics Program Support
• Assist the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer with policy development and management of related programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief Compliance and Ethics Officer.
- Minimum:
Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field and at least two years of relevant experience,
or a Bachelor’s degree and at least four years of relevant experience. - Preferred:
Experience in compliance, risk management, youth program administration, or related area.
Familiarity with data‑analysis tools in a large, matrixed organization.
- Experience in youth protection compliance program administration.
- Proficiency with technological tools for data analysis and management.
- Medical (PPO/HMO $50/month single, $180/month family), Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Flexible Spending Plans, Employee Assistance Program.

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Annually $65,000 – $75,000 (exempt; Administrative, Managerial, Professional).
