We are seeking a skilled Clinical Chemistry Technologist to support immunoassay and automated chemistry testing in our CLIA-certified laboratory focused on Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) diagnostics. This role emphasizes high-complexity chemistry and immunoassay testing using automated analyzers for blood-based biomarkers.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-complexity immunoassay and chemistry testing using automated analyzers.
- Prepare and process clinical specimens following SOPs across all testing phases.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot automated chemistry and immunoassay analyzers.
- Identify and resolve analyzer, reagent, or assay performance issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct daily QC, calibration, and verification procedures.
- Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, OSHA, and internal laboratory standards.
- Support audit readiness and participate in inspections.
- Review and validate test results; accurately enter and maintain records in the LIS.
- Ensure precise and timely data entry and result reporting.
- Monitor inventory of reagents and consumables for chemistry and immunoassay testing.
- Validate new reagent lots prior to clinical use.
- Stay informed on advancements in clinical chemistry and immunoassay technologies.
- Participate in training and quality improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field (minimum).
- Board certification, such as ASCP or AAB (MLS, MT, or Chemistry specialty required).
- Valid Florida Department of Health Clinical Chemistry license required, prefer license in multiple disciplines.
- 1–3 years of experience in clinical chemistry and/or immunoassay testing.
- Experience with automated, high-throughput analyzers preferred.
- Strong expertise in immunoassay and automated chemistry platforms.
- Solid understanding of laboratory QC and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
- Part-time in-person position with opportunity to convert to full-time
- The salary range is between $35-$42 per hour depending on qualifications
