Position
Purpose:
Operate head or body X‑ray scanners that create a computer‑generated cross‑sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan. Great opportunity for a CT professional to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
What you will do:- Perform CT procedures accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam. Knowledge in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of computer language and cross‑sectional anatomy.
- Practice proper sterile technique. Adhere to infection control guidelines.
- Interact efficiently, professionally and courteously with all contacts.
- Draw up requested medication/contrast media and accurately record the administered amount and time as per the physician's orders.
- Administer contrast media under the direction of a physician. Recognize signs of contrast reaction and respond with appropriate action.
- Serve patients of all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).
- Graduation from an accredited school of Radiology Technologist is required.
- Experience as a CT Technologist is preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and work under stressful situations required.
- Florida CRT Radiology license required.
- ARRT required.
- ARRT (CT) required.
- BLS certification required.
