We are currently seeking an entry level Admissions Coordinator with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of those struggling with addiction and mental health.
Responsibilities- Coordinates admissions process to achieve targeted census.
- Assists with prioritization of pre‑admission assessment.
- Handles incoming calls from individuals seeking information about our treatment programs and services.
- Conducts initial assessments to determine eligibility for admission based on established criteria.
- Provides accurate and detailed information about our programs, services, and admissions process.
- Builds rapport and establishes trust with potential patients through empathetic communication.
- Discusses health insurance benefits and financial requirements to come into our program.
- Provides reassurance and intervention to an individual/family in crisis.
- Utilizes exceptional sales and interpersonal skills to guide potential patients through the admissions process and encourage them to choose our facility.
- Collaborates with clinical staff and other departments to ensure a smooth transition for admitted patients.
- Coordinates admissions from existing referral sources.
- Coordinates travel for qualified patients.
- Maintains electronic records and documentation of all calls and interactions with our CRM.
- Previous experience (preferred) in a call center, sales, or customer service role in a behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment setting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Empathetic and compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Exceptional closing skills and the ability to overcome objections.
- Live time problem solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
- Proficient in using computer systems, electronic medical records, and standard office software.
