Position: Admissions Coordinator (Substance Use Treatment)

We are currently seeking an entry level Admissions Coordinator with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of those struggling with addiction and mental health.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates admissions process to achieve targeted census.
  • Assists with prioritization of pre‑admission assessment.
  • Handles incoming calls from individuals seeking information about our treatment programs and services.
  • Conducts initial assessments to determine eligibility for admission based on established criteria.
  • Provides accurate and detailed information about our programs, services, and admissions process.
  • Builds rapport and establishes trust with potential patients through empathetic communication.
  • Discusses health insurance benefits and financial requirements to come into our program.
  • Provides reassurance and intervention to an individual/family in crisis.
  • Utilizes exceptional sales and interpersonal skills to guide potential patients through the admissions process and encourage them to choose our facility.
  • Collaborates with clinical staff and other departments to ensure a smooth transition for admitted patients.
  • Coordinates admissions from existing referral sources.
  • Coordinates travel for qualified patients.
  • Maintains electronic records and documentation of all calls and interactions with our CRM.
Requirements
  • Previous experience (preferred) in a call center, sales, or customer service role in a behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Empathetic and compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Exceptional closing skills and the ability to overcome objections.
  • Live time problem solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Proficient in using computer systems, electronic medical records, and standard office software.
