Occupational Therapist
Ruth & Norman Rales JFS is currently seeking a part time Occupational Therapist for the Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy and Resource Center. This position will perform various duties including, but not limited to, providing quality/ethical clinical services, maintaining a positive attitude towards others, developing/maintaining relationships with clients, families and other professionals, and providing direct occupational therapy services to children at the Center (individual and group).
This position will work with children (0-22 yrs.) with a variety of special needs diagnoses/disorders, utilizing innovative therapy approaches including co-treatments and collaborating with other professionals (such as SLP’s, PT’s, BCBA’s, and clinical when applicable) to help children meet their full potential. Occupational Therapists will be engaged in a multidisciplinary team approach across disciplines, and will be responsible for maintaining the required paperwork in spreadsheets and in our documentation systems.
Required
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in related discipline
- Certification and state licensure as an OT, PT, or SLP in good standing
- Experience performing evaluations and ongoing assessments
- Skilled in writing reports, treatment plans, and establishing goals
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children across a spectrum of disabilities and special needs - Available to work between the hours of 2pm and 6pm
- Flexibility to meet the needs of others and the team and work as part of a multidisciplinary clinic
- Ability to communicate with others with respect, encouragement, open-mindedness, and provide supportive feedback.
- Initiative and problem solving skills
- Organization, documentation, and time management skills

- Effective emotional and verbal skills with clients and families

Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
