We need you to join our team as an Emergency Medical ResponderSinai Residences is seeking a service driven, professional EMR who is responsible for servicing this Community.
Emergency Response- Using a limited amount of equipment, the EMR will r ender emergency medical care based on assessment findings. Care may include:
- Opening and maintaining an airway
- Ventilating patients
- Administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation
- Administering oxygen
- Providing emergency medical care of simple and multiple system trauma such as:
- Controlling hemorrhage
- Bandaging wounds
- Manually stabilizing injured extremities
- Addressing general medical complaints, altered mental status, seizures, environmental emergencies, behavioral emergencies and psychological crises.
- Prior to rendering patient care, identify the mechanism of injury or nature of illness, the total number of patients and requests additional help, if necessary.
- Determine when additional support is needed and act accordingly. This includes:
- Conduct post-call activities.
- Function within the scope of care as defined by state, regional and local regulatory agencies;
- Comply with regulations on the handling of the deceased, protection of property and evidence at the scene, while awaiting additional EMS resources.
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting; must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, and stand.
