Sr. ER Specialist/Coordinator

Location:

Boca Raton, FL (Must be onsite a minimum of 3 days per week)

Duration: 9+ Month Contract

Rate: $35-$38/hour

The Sr. ER Specialist/Coordinator supports both the administrative and consultative functions of the HR department. This role ensures the efficient execution of core HR processes while also providing guidance to managers and employees on policies, employee relations matters, and compliance requirements. The position balances hands‑on coordination of HR operations with independent judgment in supporting workforce initiatives and resolving workplace concerns. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment, manage competing priorities, think critically under pressure, and make timely decisions that mitigate risk to the organization while maintaining fairness and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire documentation, orientation, and system access.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS records, personnel files, and compliance documentation.
  • Retrieve and provide employment records as needed in accordance with company policy.
  • Track mandatory training, certifications, and compliance deadlines.
  • Prepare employment verifications, HR correspondence, and reporting.
  • Support performance review cycles and engagement initiatives.
  • Manage multiple HR processes simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
Employee Relations & Advisory Support
  • Provide guidance on company policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support employee relations matters, including documentation, fact gathering, participation in investigations, and preparation of summaries.
  • Assist managers with performance management, corrective action, and development planning.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and internal policies.
  • Analyze HR data and provide insights to support sound business decisions.
  • Contribute to policy updates and process improvement initiatives.
  • Exercise sound judgment and make recommendations that minimize organizational risk while supporting business objectives.
  • Respond promptly to emerging issues, think quickly, and apply practical solutions in time-sensitive situations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of progressive HR experience combining administrative and employee relations exposure. Working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
  • Proven ability to think critically, assess risk, and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) preferred.
