Location: Boca Raton, FL (Hybrid Minimum 3 Days Onsite per Week)
Duration: 9 Months
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week | Standard Business Hours
We are seeking a Senior Employee Relations Specialist / Senior HR Coordinator to support both the administrative and consultative functions of Human Resources. This role combines hands-on HR operations with employee relations advisory support, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and effective workforce management in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate brings strong HR operations experience, working knowledge of employment law, and the ability to exercise sound judgment while managing competing priorities.
Responsibilities- HR Operations & Administration
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation, orientation, and system access
- Maintain accurate HRIS records, personnel files, and compliance documentation
- Retrieve and provide employment records in accordance with policy
- Track mandatory training, certifications, and compliance requirements
- Prepare employment verifications, HR correspondence, and reporting
- Support performance review cycles and employee engagement initiatives
- Manage multiple HR processes simultaneously with high accuracy and timeliness
- Employee Relations & Advisory Support
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Support employee relations matters including documentation, fact gathering, investigation participation, and summary preparation
- Assist managers with performance management, corrective actions, and development planning
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
- Analyze HR data and provide insights to support informed business decisions
- Contribute to policy updates and continuous process improvement initiatives
- Exercise independent judgment to assess risk and recommend compliant solutions
- Respond promptly to time-sensitive workplace matters with practical, solution-oriented approaches
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 2-5 years of progressive HR experience combining HR administration and employee relations
- Working knowledge of employment law and HR compliance best practices
- Experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Proven ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent)
- Experience supporting workforce initiatives and compliance-driven HR environments
