The Human Resources Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Human Resources department by providing exceptional customer service and assisting with a variety of HR functions, programs, and administrative processes that promote a positive employee experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities- None
- Assists with benefits administration for field employees.
- Responds to employee benefit concerns and resolves inquiries from internal and field employees.
- Coordinates communication with insurance brokers and carriers relating to the company’s field employee insurance policies.
- Reviews and audits invoices from HR and Benefits vendors and prepares invoices for final approval.
- Assists with workers’ compensation reporting and claim management, and unemployment claims matters.
- Completes the onboarding process for internal employees, including processing background checks, I-9 verifications, drafting offer letters, posting welcome announcements, and coordinating new hire orientation calls.
- Completes the offboarding process including sending termination notices, final pay details, pre-adverse action and adverse action letters, and communicating terminations to necessary parties.
- Supports department reporting by generating required data, validating data accuracy, and consolidating information for all required reporting.
- Maintains and updates required state and federal employment notices and workplace postings.
- Reviews incoming office mail and distributes electronically to appropriate employees.
- Processes employment verifications upon request.
- Answers HR Department phone line and directs calls to appropriate team members.
- Adheres to departmental and company policies and procedures and administers consistently.
- Ensures compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures as well as applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Assists with department projects, events, and communications initiatives.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Strong relationship building, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources for reporting purposes.
- Ability to review and validate data for accuracy and completeness.
- Ability to maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality, especially when handling highly sensitive personal data collected, including health information.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Organized with attention to detail, strong communication skills, high integrity, and dependability.
- Highly motivated to achieve results and meet goals.
- High School Diploma required;
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred - Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside an office environment.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
- Frequently communicate with internal and external clients in-person, and via telephone, email, and video conferencing. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
