Flybridge Staffing has an immediate opening for full-time/direct hire, Data Engineer in the Boca Raton Area (hybrid). The Data Engineer will be responsible for data modeling, data warehouse design, and development, writing relational and multidimensional database queries to design custom-fit analysis and reporting solutions.

Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr

• Design and develop reliable data models that power dashboards, scorecards, and self-service analytics across the business.
• Optimize on-premise SQL Server database performance through advanced query tuning, index management, and execution plan analysis.
• Write complex and optimized T-SQL queries to support both ad hoc and automated reporting needs.
• Build and maintain robust Power BI solutions, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and interactive visualizations.
• Partner with project managers, business analysts, stakeholders, and data scientists to transform data into actionable insights.
• Develop and maintain documentation on data definitions, models, and transformations to support governance and data literacy.
• Ensure the analytics layer is aligned with source systems and ETL processes.

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering, BI Development or analytics engineering.
• Deep expertise in T-SQL, including performance tuning and working with large datasets.
• Proven expertise in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query (M), and semantic data modeling.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling (star/snowflake), and performance tuning.
• Experience with ETL tools SSIS and/or data integration frameworks.
• Experience with Azure Data Services (e.g., Synapse, Data Factory, SQL DB).
• Familiarity with Python, R, or other scripting languages for data analysis.
• Exposure to modern data tools (e.g., Microsoft Fabric or Databricks).
• Experience with SQL and OLAP, various Azure services, Databricks, and Python.
• Experience creating ETL pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory.
