Forte Group is looking for a Senior .NET Engineer, who will contribute to the technical design and implementation of a large-scale cloud replatforming initiative, migrating an enterprise .NET-based system from on-premise infrastructure to AWS.

You will work hands-on across backend services, infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and observability, helping establish secure, scalable, and repeatable cloud environments.

The role focuses on enabling modernization through Infrastructure-as-Code, cloud architecture patterns, secure connectivity, and telemetry — without requiring immediate changes to the core application.

Key features include:

• Large-scale .NET platform transitioning from on-premise to cloud.
• Mix of legacy and modern components: .NET Framework, .NET Core, SQL Server, and Windows-based services.
• Infrastructure automation and monitoring through Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and telemetry.
• Secure reverse proxying, role-based access, and identity federation.
• API integrations with external enterprise systems.
• Modernization roadmap introducing containerization, observability, and refactoring opportunities.

Team structure and Workflow

The engineering organization operates across India, the UK, and LATAM, following Agile Scrum principles.

Teams are cross-functional and include Backend Engineers, SDETs, Product Owners, AWS Cloud Engineers and Engineering Managers.

Work is coordinated via Azure Dev Ops and Git Hub, with daily collaboration supported by Slack, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.

Responsibilities include

Technical Contributions

• Implement backend components, cloud infrastructure, and automation scripts
• Contribute to design discussions and propose improvements to architecture and patterns
• Participate in code reviews, infrastructure reviews, and quality improvements
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Dev Ops to deliver secure and repeatable deployments
• Investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions

• Contribute to architectural design and implementation
• Participate in defining technical patterns and reviewing solutions
• Follow technical patterns and standards for infrastructure, deployment automation, reverse proxying, security, and observability
• Work closely with architects and cloud engineers to implement designs
• Ensure cloud environments are secure, scalable, repeatable, and aligned with Infrastructure-as-Code practices
• Review and validate Terraform modules, CI/CD pipelines, configuration changes, and infrastructure updates
• Support gradual modernization by identifying opportunities for decoupling, service extraction, performance improvements, and technical debt reduction
• Collaborate with Dev Ops and Cloud Engineering to standardize networking, VM images, environment layouts, and telemetry integration
• Follow best practices across logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational readiness
• Ensure secure and scalable integration with SOAP, REST, and HL7 FHIR services.

• Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations clearly to Product and Delivery stakeholders
• Work with Delivery and Product teams to understand technical requirements and constraints
• Raise technical considerations, risks, or dependencies when needed
• Break down complex tasks into implementable work items
