Network Engineer

We are seeking a candidate with Network Engineering experience with a mix of technical and customer service skills and who is passionate about technology and helping people. Must have friendly customer service skills, great problem solving and troubleshooting skills, ability to work independently and/or in a team environment and must be motivated to learn in a fast-paced environment. Must have strong technical skills in these areas: routing, switching, security, cloud, firewall, and VOIP (call manager).

Must be comfortable interacting with people via phone, e-mail, in person, virtually, etc., and willing to drive to local client sites as necessary to resolve technical issues.

Candidates with Managed Service Provider (MSP)/NOC experience are highly desired.

• Cisco Router, Switch, Access Points, Phones and Firewalls (Firepower)
• Knowledge of Cisco Voice
• Local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), cloud networks, and servers
• Cisco Call Manager and Unity experience (UCCX and experience doing upgrades a plus)
• Knowledge in Cisco and Meraki infrastructure
• Cisco Wireless Controllers (5505 and 9800)
• Meraki Switch and Access Points
• Active Directory Background working for NOC/MSP/VAR Any connect/Site to Site VPN
• Experience in anti-spam/virus email products (App River/Barracuda/etc) DNS / domain hosting Office 365 administration
• VMware VCP credential, familiarity with Virtualization technologies
• Connectivity - Ethernet, TCP/IP and VPN, network (Wi-Fi/wired network) troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Cisco wireless including wireless controllers a plus
• Knowledge of VMware infrastructure, virtualization, cloud infrastructure

• CCIE Certificate (or CCNA/CCNP with 8+ years of experience in network with deeper understanding of complex network issues.)
• Working knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications (Call Manager/Express Unity
  
  CCX) a plus

• Prefer certifications with Cisco (CCNA, CCNP), Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional (JNCIP).
• Other certifications

• Installation and configuration:
  Setting up devices like routers and switches, and configuring them and other devices
• Troubleshooting:
  Identifying and fixing problems with network systems, such as cabling or configuration issues
• Documentation:
  Document network diagrams with a team as necessary
• Technical support:
  Provide support to clients and end-users primarily through tickets and phone as needed
• Preventive maintenance:
  Perform regular maintenance on devices, including patches and upgrades
• Hardware repair:
  Make repairs to computer hardware as necessary
• Software troubleshooting:
  Troubleshoot computer software issues as necessary
• Scheduled updates:
  Perform scheduled updates on devices as necessary
• Antivirus software:
  Install and update antivirus software to secure the network against cyber-attacks
