Job Description Summary

Mod Med is looking for a UX Designer to work with our RCM and Practice Management product teams. We seek a candidate with diverse skills to improve experiences for all users—end users, clients, the extended product and development teams, and stakeholders. The designer will help ensure usability, accessibility, and delight are incorporated into these experiences, negotiate timelines, identify value, and determine incremental improvements.

The role supports the complete software development lifecycle, partnering closely with product teams to conceive, define, and understand requirements; identify use cases; suggest interactions and functionality; and define success metrics that validate the end product before and after delivery. A strong portfolio demonstrating these skills is required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design function for projects from ideation through validation.
  • Lead the design of multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure accessibility is addressed in designs and experiences.
  • Create user flows, journey maps, mockups, and prototypes that effectively communicate design intent and feature functionality.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as product management, engineering, client success, and internal SMEs to define project requirements and create design solutions.
  • Conduct user interviews and usability tests to inform design decisions.
  • Effectively communicate design decisions through written and verbal means to all levels of stakeholders.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into simple language.
  • Contribute to design systems to streamline development processes.
  • Use a research repository to organize insights across personas, problems, and products.
  • Define and analyze behavioral metrics to track user interactions and measure design success.
  • Validate implemented features through user acceptance testing to ensure they meet design specifications and usability standards.
  • Use AI as a companion to ideate, collaborate, and design.
Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Computer Interaction, User Experience Design, or equivalent work experience.
  • 2‑4 years of experience designing software interfaces for complex enterprise software (both web and mobile).
  • Strong understanding of human computer interaction principles.
  • Strong understanding of accessibility standards and how to validate the guidelines.
  • Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes, and high‑fidelity designs using Figma.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience conducting user research, including writing recruitment scripts, moderating user interviews, and analyzing user data.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with using AI as a tool for better time‑management efficiency.
  • Ability to work three days per week in our Boca Raton, FL headquarters.
Benefits
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, including a company Health Savings Account contribution.
  • 401(k) with a matching contribution of 50% of your contribution deferred on up to 6% of your compensation. After one year, 100% of any matching contribution is yours.
  • Generous paid time off and paid parental leave programs.
  • Company‑paid life and disability benefits, flexible spending account, and employee assistance programs.
  • Company‑sponsored Business Resource & Special Interest Groups providing supportive communities.
  • Professional development opportunities, including tuition reimbursement and unlimited access to Linked In Learning.
  • Global presence and in‑person collaboration opportunities; dog‑friendly HQ (US), hybrid office‑based roles, and remote availability for some roles.
  • Weekly catered breakfast and lunch, treadmill workstations, Zen, and wellness rooms within the headquarters.
