The IT Training Specialist develops and delivers technical training programs to support employee learning and system adoption across the organization, facilitating general and technology-specific education programs, user enablement, and technical adoption of our construction management and field operations software platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering effective training, providing day-to-day technical support, and partnering with internal teams to ensure software tools are used efficiently to support project planning, execution, and operational performance.
This role collaborates with IT teams, department managers, and end users to identify training needs, create instructional materials, and conduct training sessions on software applications, cybersecurity practices, hardware systems, and other technology-related topics. The IT Training Specialist plays a key role in strengthening platform adoption, improving field-to-office workflows, and enhancing overall project visibility.
LocationThis position is 100% on-site at our Corporate office in Boca Raton, FL. It is not a hybrid or remote role. We will only consider local candidates within a 40‑minute commute from our office in Boca Raton, FL. No out‑of‑area candidates will be considered unless already completing self‑relocation to the area timely. No external recruiting firms will be used for this search.
WhatYou’ll Do Training
- Assess organizational training needs related to technology systems and software.
- Conduct needs assessments to develop training protocols and benchmarks using quantitative and qualitative data and validation.
- Develop and deliver engaging training sessions (virtual and in‑person) for new and existing users across construction management and field operations platforms.
- Facilitate training directly and/or effectively incorporate subject matter experts.
- Create training materials - including user guides, workflow documentation, quick reference sheets, and video tutorials—tailored to construction and infrastructure deployment processes.
- Deliver refresher and feature update sessions following product enhancements or changes to construction workflows.
- Assess user proficiency and provide targeted coaching to improve adoption and platform utilization.
- Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
- Support system rollouts and technology upgrades with targeted training programs.
- Collaborate with IT staff and business units to ensure training aligns with operational goals.
- Maintain training schedules, records, and learning management systems (LMS).
- Stay current with emerging technologies and training methodologies.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures and best practices for platform usage within construction and field operations environments.
- Stay current on platform updates, construction technology trends, and industry best practices, communicating relevant changes to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Construction Management, Business, Human Resources or other related field required.
- 2–4 years of experience in technical/software training and/or learning and development.
- Experience using a Learning Management System to develop and administer training programs.
- Experience with construction management or field operations software (e.g., Vitruvi, Procore, Aconex, IQGeo, B2W, etc.) strongly preferred.
- Background in construction, telecom/fiber deployment, utilities, or infrastructure projects is an asset.
- Military experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction workflows, scheduling, resource management, field reporting, and plan/document controls is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to explain technical concepts to field crews, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders.
- Must have strong presentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, meeting scheduling, A/V presentation setup, instructional design tools, and digital learning tools (LMS, screen capture software, e-learning platforms).
