Security Operations Center (SOC) Supervisor
Location:
Boca Raton, FL
- Daily SOC operations management, including quality checks, incident management, scheduling, and operational data reporting.
- Quality Assurance – oversee team performance, conduct audits, and provide coaching.
- Client Relationship Management – maintain professional communication with client representatives and resolve concerns.
- SOC Meetings – attend and generate meeting notes, represent the SOC in leadership meetings when required.
- Project Management – manage assigned projects from inception to completion, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
- Continuous Improvement – evaluate and improve SOC processes, train staff on enhancements, and solicit feedback.
- Personnel Support – guide employees on personal issues, collaborate with operations manager and director for HR escalations, maintaining privacy.
- Procedural Updates – review analyst suggestions for process improvements, implement feasible changes, and communicate updates to the team.
- Sick Leave – arrange coverage, document changes, and coordinate with Management and client as necessary.
- Investigation and Follow‑Up – investigate client‑identified incidents, document outcomes, and implement corrective actions.
- Operational Supervision – supervise analysts, support escalations, assist in risk assessments, review metrics, coordinate emergency responses, and track critical equipment checks.
- Quality Assurance Activities – conduct assessments to ensure service excellence.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 3–5+ years leading teams or projects within security operations or SOC environments.
- Experience in intelligence, security operations, critical incident management, corporate security, or emergency management.
- Proficiency with current technologies and open‑source search methodologies.
- Competent user of Microsoft Suite and Google Suite.
- Willingness to sign NDA and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional demeanor under stress and adaptability to dynamic situations.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Successful client‑management experience.
- Effective conflict‑resolution abilities.
- Capacity to handle authorities, executives, client staff, and the public in urgent situations.
- Availability for training events and mandatory meetings outside normal hours.
- Ability to work 8‑12 hour shifts, including days and nights.
Physical and mental requirements: multitask with computer use, occasional lifting of small objects, flexibility to work evenings, odd hours, and weekends on short notice, and compliance with background checks, reference checks, and drug tests if required.
