Summary:

** As a
** Manager, Cloud Engineering
** at Modernizing Medicine, you will lead a team of highly skilled Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our AWS cloud infrastructure and services. Your leadership will be crucial in driving the adoption of site reliability engineering principles, optimizing costs, and automating processes. You will oversee the team's efforts to align with strategic goals, delivering exceptional value through cloud-native technologies.

* Key Responsibilities:

* **** Leadership and Strategy:****  + Lead the Cloud Engineering team, setting strategic direction and priorities to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud services.  + Develop and execute a roadmap for cloud infrastructure that aligns with business goals and incorporates industry-standard SRE practices.  + Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and cost-consciousness within the team.
* **** Infrastructure and Automation:****  + Oversee the architecture and management of secure, scalable cloud infrastructure and services, focusing on automation, reliability, and proactive cost management.  + Ensure the implementation and refinement of observability and monitoring solutions using Data Dog, promoting proactive issue identification and efficient resource utilization.  + Guide the development, maintenance, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, integrating AWS services to enhance development workflows and infrastructure automation.  

+ Lead efforts in containerization and orchestration of applications using Kubernetes, enhancing scalability, deployment efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
* **** Performance and Cost Management:****  + Monitor application and infrastructure performance in AWS, applying tuning and optimizations to ensure optimal resource utilization and user experience while managing costs.  + Design and manage disaster recovery and backup strategies on AWS, prioritizing data integrity, system availability, and cost efficiency.
* **** Security and Compliance:****  + Ensure strict adherence to AWS security standards and compliance with data protection regulations, with a keen eye on cost implications.
