Paralegal

Description

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join a dynamic law firm in Boca Raton, Florida. The ideal candidate will have expertise in personal injury law, medical malpractice, and pre-suit case preparation. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced legal environment while utilizing your organizational and legal drafting skills.

Responsibilities:

- Manage pre-suit activities, including drafting demands, investigating and preparing cases.

- Conduct investigations for medical malpractice cases within Florida and other states.

- Handle electronic filing of legal documents and ensure timely submissions.

- Draft and prepare legal correspondence and documents with precision.

- Schedule and maintain calendars for case deadlines, hearings, and other legal events.

- Organize case files, ensuring all necessary documentation, such as medical records and police reports, is obtained and properly stored.

- Coordinate with attorneys and other team members to support case preparation.

- Request and follow up on essential documents needed for case development.

- Assist in litigation filings and ensure compliance with court regulations.

- Utilize discovery processes to gather relevant case information.

Requirements

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal in personal injury or medical malpractice law.

- Proficiency in e-filing and electronic document management systems.

- Strong skills in drafting legal documents and correspondence.

- Experience in pre-litigation case preparation and investigation.

- Ability to organize and maintain accurate case files.

- Familiarity with scheduling and calendaring tools.

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

- Knowledge of discovery processes and legal procedures.

Pro Law program experience preferred.
