Tax, Trusts & Estates Associate Attorney

Overview

This position is for a big law firm. This private wealth practice seeks a Tax, Trusts & Estates Associate with at least three years of experience to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and closely held businesses on sophisticated domestic and international estate and tax planning matters.

Location:

Boca Raton, Miami & Palm Beach FL or Hackensack, NJ; or New York (Hybrid)

• Advise high-net-worth individuals and families on complex estate, gift, and generation-skipping tax planning
• Draft and review sophisticated estate planning documents, including trusts, wills, and related instruments
• Provide tax planning guidance for closely held businesses, private investments, and family offices
• Assist with trust and estate administration matters
• Collaborate with attorneys across private wealth, tax, and corporate practices
• Support business development and client relationship efforts within the private wealth group

• JD from an accredited law school
• 3+ years of experience in trusts and estates and/or tax planning at a large or well-regarded law firm
• LLM in Taxation or Estate Planning preferred, with strong consideration given to candidates from NYU or Georgetown
• Experience working within private wealth groups at large law firms strongly preferred
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
