Our core business focuses on cleanup and mitigation efforts for recovery from fire damage, roof leaks, flooding, pipe bursts, and post‑disaster remediation due to severe weather. We exclusively serve commercial sectors including hospitality, senior housing, healthcare, commercial offices, municipalities, multifamily living, and institutional markets.

Summary

The Project Manager’s primary function is to provide operational execution and expertise to assigned projects from inception through warranty and maintain excellent client relationships to ensure Blue Team is always the client’s first choice for restoration and reconstruction services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Direct project teams, ensuring and delivering appropriate project expectations.
  • Financial Management: monitor project scope and budget; maintain profitability, source and submit work orders and purchase orders, review and approve or reject subcontractor billings.
  • Produce project billings accurately and timely.
  • Identify, document and submit change orders; ensure all change orders are approved by clients before work is performed.
  • Solicit, onboard, and maintain subcontractor relationships.
  • Monitor subcontractors and vendor costs to ensure proper performance of scope and price.
  • Ensure assigned projects maintain the proper level of staffing and equipment; frequently visit during restoration and construction activities.
  • Prepare pre‑construction kick‑off meeting.
  • Respond promptly to all losses or projects.
  • Responsible for overall financial performance on the project.
Team and Internal Communications
  • Reinforce team approach throughout practice on client projects and internal initiatives.
  • Act as liaison between departments to share information and ensure client needs are addressed.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure client retention by delivering superior client service.
  • Communicate project or site staffing issues with immediate supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Always be available and reachable on short notice and during all designated work hours, including being on call to respond to emergency losses 24/7.
  • Maintain integrity, business ethics, and sound judgment.
Business Development Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with client decision makers and project managers, professionals, and other potential business sources.
  • Contribute to the quality of the client’s experience.
  • Be tech‑savvy and capable of learning proprietary software to demonstrate to clients.
  • Maintain project file integrity to ensure client access meets Blue Team standards.
  • Utilize CRM system to maintain client contacts and opportunities.
  • Remain vigilant of potential mitigation, construction and roofing opportunities.
  • Monitor and report weather events that create repair/restoration opportunities.
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
Qualifications
  • Experience as an estimator in general construction field.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction and maintenance practices, procedures, and techniques, and local, state, and federal building codes.
  • Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to detail.
  • Prioritize and multi‑task; proactive, deadline‑oriented and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with other project teams and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of Pipeline invitation to bid software is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Available and reachable on short notice and during all designated work hours, including being on call to respond to emergency losses 24/7/365.
  • Computer skills including internet, e‑mail, MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.
  • Experience in Xactimate is a plus.
