Responsibilities
  • Provides oversight of all aspects of planning & scheduling within assigned projects.
  • Performs as the scheduling expert for the Business Unit, handling advanced and complicated tasks.
  • Demonstrates advanced expertise in scheduling tools and techniques, staying current with industry standards.
  • Recommends latest advances in scheduling practices to Divisional management.
  • Executes schedule & cost loading for CPM schedules.
  • Analyzes variances and trends across multiple schedules.
  • Manages delay claims process, develops delay analysis narratives, and coordinates with the Legal Department.
  • Participates in formal proposals and project interviews.
  • Ensures proper schedule techniques and update procedures are followed on all assigned projects.
  • Coaches, mentors, and trains less‑experienced team members; leads risk identification and mitigation training.
  • Conducts monthly project audits and recommends risk mitigation plans.

    Reports concerns and updates to Business Unit management regarding project controls.
  • Monitors overall performance indicators and manages workload against backlog.
  • Trains Project Managers and Superintendents on scheduling software usage.
  • Participates in the scheduling peer group and subcommittees.
  • Utilizes industry‑standard software to support the scheduling process.
  • Supports a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • 8–17 years of related experience.
  • Professional certification (AACEi, PMI, AGC, CMAA, or similar) is recommended.
  • Relevant combination of education and experience can substitute for certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • In‑depth knowledge of construction methods, sequences, crew sizes, productivity rates, manpower analysis, cash flow, and CPM scheduling.
  • Excellent planning and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

Salary ranges vary by location and are based on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and alignment with market data. General ranges:

  • Albany NY, Buffalo NY, Ohio, South Carolina, Indiana, Orlando FL, Tampa FL, Sarasota FL, Jacksonville FL, Arizona, San Antonio TX, Richmond VA, Pittsburgh PA: $147,000–$179,600 plus benefits and retirement program.
  • Atlanta GA, Maryland, Boca Raton FL, North Carolina, Detroit MI, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Rochester MN: $154,400–$188,600 plus benefits and retirement program.
  • Austin TX, Chicago IL, Houston TX, Philadelphia PA, Sacramento CA: $161,700–$197,600 plus benefits and retirement program.
  • Arlington VA, Boston MA: $172,000–$210,100 plus benefits and retirement program.
  • Concord CA, Los Angeles CA: $179,300–$219,100 plus benefits and retirement program.
