Position: Senior Project Manager (Nationwide)

Senior Project Managers are responsible for the overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of large or complex construction projects or multiple small projects. The role is primarily on the job site with occasional office travel for trainings and meetings.

You will be responsible for
  • Developing the project safety plan with corporate safety and providing jobsite leadership
  • Creating the project controls and procedures to manage complex project requirements and mitigating high-risk items for contract requirements
  • Managing the project financial forecast, notice provisions, and billings to meet contract requirements and taking corrective actions for deviations
  • Creating and managing a project-specific quality plan aligned with the owner contract and assisting with execution
  • Creating and managing a closeout plan in alignment with the contract documents and assisting with execution
  • Providing leadership in motivating the project team, maintaining a positive work environment, supervising work, and establishing operational priorities
  • Developing the subcontracting strategy; reviewing and writing scopes and other deliverables to ensure the integrity of the buyout process
  • Implementing and enforcing all aspects of contracts, creating a risk‑mitigation plan, preparing draft contracts, agreements, and purchase orders
  • Assuming accountability for insurance and bond enrollment and managing the compliance process for trade contractors
  • Leading the development of the project estimate and managing the estimating team to meet contractual obligations
  • Leading constructability and coordination reviews
  • Creating a CPM schedule for large and/or complex projects, recognizing potential schedule impacts, and drafting prevention/mitigation plans
  • Developing a basic understanding of local market areas and profiles to create and lead a networking strategy
  • Collaborating closely with business development to integrate sales strategies, including performance metrics on assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables
  • Participating in opportunities to strengthen client, partner, and industry relationships that position the company as the “Builder of Choice”
  • Being responsible for the career development and coaching of team members
  • Fostering a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
  • Interpreting and translating organizational strategy, ensuring team understanding of their role in achieving strategic goals

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 8–12 years of experience in project management, preferably in Health Care, Advanced Manufacturing Science and Technology, Life Science, K‑12, or Higher Education
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Strong technical and communication skills are critical
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of industry‑standard software and Microsoft Office (preferred)

Salary will be determined based on geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges from $132,300 to $232,800 plus benefits and a retirement program. The company offers an excellent total compensation package that includes competitive health and welfare benefits, a generous profit‑sharing/401k plan, and extensive training through the company’s university.
