Position Summary

The Regional Heavy Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, growing, and developing the Heavy Maintenance business throughout the Southeast Region. This position oversees all aspects of heavy maintenance operations, including compliance repairs, sump repairs, fueling system repairs, environmental remediation support, concrete and other petroleum‑related maintenance services. This leader will drive revenue growth, develop field personnel, support business development efforts, ensure operational excellence, and deliver exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is a self‑motivated leader with extensive field experience in the petroleum industry who enjoys building teams, solving problems, and expanding business opportunities. This is a highly visible leadership position with significant opportunities for growth as the Heavy Maintenance division continues to expand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and grow the Southeast Heavy Maintenance division while meeting revenue, profitability, and operational goals.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain Heavy Maintenance supervisors, foremen, and field technicians.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing customers while supporting sales efforts to secure new accounts.
  • Develop strategies to expand Heavy Maintenance services throughout the Southeast Region.
  • Oversee scheduling, manpower planning, equipment utilization, and resource allocation across multiple states.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to company quality standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, local, and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Review project costs, labor efficiency, and profitability while implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  • Partner with Regional Operations, Construction, Compliance, and Service teams to maximize customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Establish performance expectations and hold team members accountable for safety, quality, productivity, and customer service.
  • Monitor KPIs including revenue growth, gross profit, labor utilization, backlog, safety performance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with estimating, project reviews, and operational planning as needed.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of petroleum industry experience with extensive field knowledge in Heavy Maintenance, fueling systems, environmental compliance, or related services.
  • Previous leadership experience managing field personnel across multiple locations or regions.
  • Proven ability to grow a business while developing high‑performing teams.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Compliance repairs
    • Sump repairs
    • Spill containment systems
    • Fuel system maintenance
    • Environmental regulations
    • Petroleum equipment and infrastructure
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Strong financial awareness, including budgeting, job costing, labor management, and profitability.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Southeast Region as needed.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
