Job Description

The Security Manager is responsible for directing and administering the implementation of all safety and security programs and initiatives to ensure the safety of residents, guests, team members and the security of the property.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and administer all Safety and Security operations and functions, including preserving the safety and security of the residents, guests, team members and the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Conduct safety incentive programs as needed.
  • Oversee the lost and found process to ensure lost property is documented and safeguarded until returned to rightful owner.
  • Budget and forecast departmental operational needs and costs.
  • Adhere to federal, state and local standards and facilitate meetings as required.
  • Direct and administer patrol of interior and perimeter of property.
  • Observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.
  • Lead investigations of accidents, thefts, property loss and unlawful activities.
  • Respond to emergency situations including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life and/or property.
  • Act as primary liaison with federal, state and local law enforcement.
  • Oversee administration and accuracy of all required reports and documentation.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and develop team member performance, including supervision, professional development, scheduling, counseling, evaluations, recognition and reward.
  • Recruit, interview and train team members.
Qualifications
  • Hospitality experience is required.
  • At least 7 years of experience.
  • Progressive work-related experience with proficiency in multiple relevant disciplines/processes, including previous law enforcement, intelligence, or military experience.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) a plus.
