Purification Lab Technician (Day Shift) Job Description
We are seeking a diligent and skilled Purification Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment is cleaned and sanitized before and after use, and will play a crucial role in our production operations. This position involves working with the Ultrafiltration system, performing chemical and buffer additions, and handling chromatography processes using up to 80cm columns.
Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize equipment before and after use.
- Manage production operations efficiently.
- Make and verify connections on flow panels.
- Perform pH and conductivity measurements.
- Conduct chemical and buffer additions.
- Operate the Ultrafiltration system.
- Initiate product processes on the Process Automated System.
- Perform chromatography using up to 80cm columns.
- Take and prepare product samples.
- Order and maintain raw material inventories.
- Complete Batch records accurately.
- Assist Group Leader in training other technicians.
- Experience with GMP, cleanroom, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using SOPs and cGMP documentation practices.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Capability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Familiarity with cleaning tools and chemicals.
- Ability to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Experience working in a controlled cleanroom environment.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum High School diploma or Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience in a large-scale manufacturing cGMP regulated environment is a plus.
- Preference for candidates with plasma fractionation or purification experience.
- Reliable and flexible with work hours if needed.
This role operates within a manufacturing environment regulated by FDA and GMP standards. The shift is 5 days on and 2 days off, with hours from 7 am to 7 pm. The facility functions 24/7/365, and the position involves both standing and desk work. Physical demands include lifting, pulling, and carrying materials up to 75 pounds, with potential exposure to airborne particles, chemicals, and other conditions typical of manufacturing and laboratory environments.
The facility is accessible via Tri-Rail with a free shuttle service to the Boca Tri-Rail station. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BOCA RATON, FL.
