We need you to join our team as a Director of Assisted Living:
The Director of Assisted Living is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care in the Memory Care and Assisted Living unit and reports directly to the Director of Nursing
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

Job Duties:
- Supervises direct nursing care on the Assisted Living unit and Memory Care.
- Administers direct nursing care when more than routine care is indicated.
- Makes routine rounds to assure proper care and a safe, clean resident environment.
- Assures accuracy and completeness of medical records.
- Supervises nursing personnel on all shifts. Participates in hiring, staffing, scheduling, counseling, orientation, and evaluation of nursing staff.
- Assists with orientation of nursing personnel and provides ongoing education as needed.
- Participates in family/resident counseling.
- Responds to emergency calls as necessary.
- Assures effective communication with other shifts and departments as it relates to resident care.
- Some "on call" is required.
- Assures timeliness of physician visits.
- Accompanies physicians when making rounds.
- Notifies physician and family of changes in resident's condition.
- Encourages rehabilitative techniques in order to restore residents' independence.
- Assures proper functioning of medical equipment and adequate medical supplies.
- Assists in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Completes infection control, safety and pharmacy rounds and audits.
- Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
- Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.
- Assures completion of monthly nursing assessments.
- Investigates and resolves resident/responsible party grievances.
- Ensures all move-in paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
- Maintains ECC log and ensures compliance with regulations.
- Ensures 1823s are current and accurate.
- Ensures service plans are completed and accurate.
RN currently licensed in the State of Florida. Current CPR certification. Florida ALF experience preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. CORE Trained is preferred and or acquire certification within 90 days of employment.
- RN (Required)
- 2-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience in either Skilled Nursing and or Assisted Living
- Strong communication skills
- ECC/LNS knowledge
- Excellent customer service abilities
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS /
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting; must be able to stand/walk for up to 70% of the work day; must be able to lift , transfer, turn and position residents weighing up to 125 lbs. unassisted, or with the assistance of one for a resident weighing over 125 lbs. May be subjected to offensive odors and combative behavior. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally. May be exposed to communicable diseases including the HIV and HBV viruses. Must be able to work paying close attention to detail with frequent interruptions.
