Position: RN/LPN Unit Manager
Schedule: Full-Time
Salary: $77,500 - $87,500 Annually
Yamato Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated RN/LPN Unit Manager to join our leadership team. In this key role, you will oversee daily nursing operations, support and mentor clinical staff, and ensure the delivery of exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who is passionate about resident-centered care and committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily operations of the assigned nursing unit to ensure quality resident care
- Manage staffing needs and maintain appropriate coverage levels
- Supervise, coach, and support nursing staff and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Perform resident assessments and ensure accurate, timely documentation
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Participate in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of nursing staff
- Create and maintain staff schedules while ensuring regulatory compliance
- Address resident and family concerns professionally and effectively
- Complete required Preceptor Training and assist with staff development
- Promote quality improvement initiatives and best clinical practices
- Foster a positive, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility policies and procedures
- Active and unrestricted RN or LPN license in the State of Florida
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience
- At least one (1) year of leadership or management experience in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or long-term care setting
- IV Certification
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care experience
- Experience supervising nursing staff and managing unit operations
- Knowledge of state and federal nursing home regulations
