The Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse - Pool DPC RN is a licensed professional able to demonstrate proficiency and mastery of core competencies including assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service who delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner utilizing and promoting evidence based practice standards of quality, safety and service.
Qualifications- Associate’s degree (in Nursing)
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
- Registered Nurse
- Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen's) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role as an RN.
- RNs hired after 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen's) with an Associate's degree will have 3 years from their date of hire to complete the BSN degree.
- RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
- Required to work minimum shift including weekend and holiday requirements as outlined in nursing staffing policy.
- As per department standard any of the following may be required (ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support, BLS
- Basic Life Support). - 18 months experience required.
Minimum
Required Experience:
3 years circulating and/or scrubbing experience in an acute Operating Room setting. BLS and ACLS required. Candidates will be required to take call and report within 30 minutes of call time. 2 shifts per week and 1 weekend shift per month.
