Pool Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery, Per Diem Specialized

Position Overview

The Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (Pool DPC RN) is a licensed professional who delivers patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence‑based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.

Estimated pay range for this position is $47.00 per hour, depending on shift as applicable.

• Assess patients using core competencies such as assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service.
• Provide patient‑family centered care and demonstrate cultural competence.
• Promote and adhere to evidence‑based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of 18 months experience.
• Required to work minimum shift including weekend and holiday requirements as outlined in the nursing staffing policy.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Registered Nurse (RN)

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is preferred.
• RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non‑leadership role as an RN.
• RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree must complete a BSN degree within 3 years of hire.
• RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
• As per department standard, any of the following may be required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, or ONS‑Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card.
