Pool Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Step Down, Per Diem (6:30 P‑7:00 A)

Licensed professional responsible for patient‑care assessment, technical execution, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, and organizational coordination. Provides patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner and promotes evidence‑based practice standards of quality, safety and service.

• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelors in Nursing
• Registered Nurse license

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Additional Qualifications:

• RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen‘s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non‑leadership role as an RN.
• RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree must complete a BSN within 3 years.
• RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
• Required to work minimum shift including weekend and holiday requirements as outlined in nursing staffing policy.
• May be required to maintain ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, or ONS‑Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider card.
• 18 months RN experience required; one year acute Cardiac Step‑Down experience; BLS and ACLS required.
