ResponsibilitiesDirector directs and evaluates patient care activities occurring within the mental health facility, which serves acute care psychiatric needs of adults aged 18 and above, including young adults and geriatric patients. The director leads and motivates professional and ancillary staff, develops their practice, knowledge, and skill base, and coordinates with other members of the health care team to ensure quality patient care.
The director must also maintain extensive knowledge of Baker Act law, EMTALA regulations, and other state and federal laws.
- MSN required
- BLS, CPI certification
- 5 years mental health management experience as Director or Manager
- Experience with all adult populations (18+), including young adults and geriatric patients
- Strong leadership and accomplishment record with a steady work history
