Part Time Floor Leader

OverviewAs a Floor Leader, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Store Management Team across all areas of the business. This includes driving sales, opening/closing the store, analyzing sales results, and leading training sessions. You’ll help ensure every aspect of the store operates flawlessly, creating an exceptional customer experience, motivated staff, and operational excellence.
You’ll spend your day on the shop floor, inspiring a team of sales associates to surpass their goals. By fostering a culture of passion and positivity, you’ll create a productive and fun work environment that delights both customers and employees.
Responsibilities- Sales & Customer
Experience: - Driving Sales: Use Store Force dashboard results to coach the sales team and adjust shop floor layout to meet and exceed sales goals. Own your results and work to grow your segments’ contribution to overall sales. Celebrate achievements with your team.
- Customer
Experience:
Lead by example in delivering world‑class customer service on the shop floor, including product demonstrations. Observe consultations, collaborate with your team, and strive to exceed daily sales goals. Foster a culture of excellence in service to build a loyal customer base and a positive store reputation. - Building the Brand: Educate customers on Lush brand values—Fighting Animal Testing, Freshest Cosmetics, Ethical Buying, 100% Vegetarian, Handmade, and Naked Packaging—through interaction, community engagement, store parties, and other initiatives.
- Product Passion: Deepen product knowledge continuously and make informed recommendations for every need.
- Team Involvement:
- Development: Train and coach Sales Ambassadors and peers on sales techniques and product knowledge to improve performance and increase sales. Take ownership of your own development, assess performance, and seek feedback to elevate your skills.
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging: Encourage open communication and listen to team perspectives on DEIB. Promote teamwork, collaboration, and recognize each employee’s unique contributions.
- Operational Excellence:
- Cash Handling & Store Opening/Closing: Manage cash transactions, register operations, reconcile drawers, prepare deposits, and secure the store nightly. Take deposits to the bank as required.
- Time & Attendance: Set an example for punctuality and attendance, monitor breaks, and ensure a healthy work environment. Review daily communications to keep the team informed and prepared.
- Visuals & Merchandising: Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing store to enhance the shopping experience.
- Stock & Inventory: Train the team on inventory best practices and support management with inventory tasks. Use visual merchandising guidelines to adjust displays in real time.
- Policies & Procedures: Support management to keep the store compliant and ensure staff adhere to company standards for opening/closing, product integrity, respectful workplace, and health and safety.
- Required: Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service and sales, cash handling and opening/closing procedures, supervisory coaching & training, problem‑solving in day‑to‑day operations, and a fast‑paced team environment.
- Knowledge and passion for skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate store needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Experience with consultation‑based customer service models.
- Experience analyzing sales metrics.
- Experience working in skincare or cosmetics.
- Experience in cross‑cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training.
- Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages.
