A licensed Optician at Sunglass Hut serves as an ambassador of the brand by delivering excellent customer service through the Sunglass Hut Experience. You will lead the optical floor, fill prescriptions, fit and adapt lenses and frames, and support store operations to help management achieve sales goals. You will also maintain knowledge of store policies and procedures for opening, closing, and operating the retail location.

• Welcome all customers and set expectations
• Custom fit glasses and place prescriptions in lenses accurately
• Act as a leader in optical acumen
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished products meet standards and customer needs
• Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions
• Use technology accurately and efficiently under time pressure, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and appropriate tools
• Proactively explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied and expectations exceeded
• Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on brand KPIs and competencies
• Maintain store appearance, cleanliness, attractiveness, and organization
• Demonstrate resourcefulness, self‑motivation, and a desire for continual learning, improvement, and results
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management

• High School graduate or equivalent
• State licensure in opticianry
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder
• Knowledge of current store merchandise
• Strong basic math skills
• Awareness of current fashion trends
• Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
• Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators
• Embrace new technology and change

• Previous customer service and retail experience
