About the Role
We’re seeking an Event Sales Representative responsible for interacting directly with homeowners at community events, festivals, and home shows across the area. Your goal is to generate leads and appointments for our sales team while representing the brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.
This entry‑level, part‑time position offers paid training and a chance to build valuable skills in sales, negotiation, strategic planning and closing techniques. It’s a great opportunity to explore your creative side of communication while having fun with the 3rd largest home remodeling company in the country.
We value customer‑facing experience in any industry. Backgrounds in sales, hospitality, retail, food service, education, or service are common examples. We welcome experience from any role that involves strong communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills—all essential for success in this position. Direct event marketing experience is a plus, not required.
Typical Event Day Overview- Location/Transportation Requirements:
Must travel to various event locations such as home shows, community festivals, craft shows, and other local events with high foot traffic within a designated region. Reliable transportation is essential. - Setup &
Physical Requirements:
Expected to set up branded booths or displays, including signage, promotional materials, and product samples. Must lift and transport items weighing up to 50 pounds. - Engagement:
Actively approach attendees, initiate conversations, and introduce products while answering questions. - Lead Capture:
Gather customer information, answer questions, and qualify leads for follow‑up by the sales team. - Brand Representation:
Maintain a professional, friendly demeanor and ensure the brand is positively represented. - Duration:
Events typically last several hours, up to 8 hours. Most events occur on weekends or evenings.
- Generate complimentary in‑home appointments for homeowners to help generate revenue for the company.
- Create on‑site event buzz and promote brand knowledge following prescribed procedures and messaging.
- Use qualifying sheets and scripts to resolve customer questions and concerns.
- Adjust on‑site event marketing and sales tactics according to current KPI targets and results as needed.
- Daily set‑up, maintenance, operation, and presentation of on‑site marketing programs to ensure maximum exposure of the brand.
- Work in an event environment (home shows, craft shows, local farmer markets, etc.), standing for long periods of time.
- Be on time to set up the marketing collateral, stay through the event, and break it down afterward.
- Part‑time schedule consisting of weekdays and weekends.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 6 hours during event).
- 1+ years of sales, lead generation, or similar experience.
- Ability to present information to customers in one‑on‑one, small and large group settings.
- Fluency in a second language is an asset.
- Stand for up to 8 hours during events; work evenings and weekends; reliable transportation necessary.
- Available to work approximately 10–30 hours per week. Must work a minimum of two weekends per month (Friday through Sunday).

Job compensation: $18 per hour.
