Role

Area Business Director (Gastroenterology) responsible for promoting Ardelyx's first-in-class GI product to healthcare providers. Objectives include achieving sales targets and establishing Ardelyx as a key player in GI care through customer engagement and strategic planning.

• developing and executing territory sales plans.
• collaborating with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Patient Services, Market Access).
• maintaining in-depth knowledge of clinical data, disease states, and competitors.
• ensuring compliance with regulations.

• minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical/biotech sales experience, ideally in specialty or gastroenterology.
• proven success in meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• experience with product launches, patient services, and specialty pharmacy.
• strong clinical/scientific acumen.
• bachelor's degree.
• ability to analyze sales data.

• established relationships with GI healthcare professionals and prior sales management experience.

• High-value specifics: gastroenterology focus, specialty pharma/biotech, field-based role with up to 40% travel, targeting healthcare professionals and clinic staff.
• The position reports to a Zone Director and is field-based, supporting the promotion of novel GI therapies within the clinical landscape.
